Quick read, but very entertaining

4-4 1/2 stars. I thought this was a little different from other books I read from this author--especially this series. I thought it had a "lighter" feel to it--more of an actual romance than the violence and suspense I notice from these books. I really liked the characters--I felt the were very well done and relatable. There was a bit of action, and a couple sex scenes that were just enough. Mostly, I got a feel for the struggling female alpha trying to keep her young pack together, and a totally alpha male who steps into a role no one--even him--expected. Secondary characters were just as entertaining, but didn't take away from main couple. It was a rather short story, and I read it quickly, but I really felt it packed a lot in.

I absolutely cannot say enough about this amazing book and the ones to come, because, it's extremely important and totally rare for a book to leave such an indelible mark on the person who has the pleasure and privilege to be able to read something that is not the norm in this genre of wolfpacks and I know what a great book looks like, because I have read more than 40,000 books in my lifetime and I am only 45 years old and I will probably have read more than 100,000 books by the end of my life and I know when a book will be successful and I know that this particular book and series is going to be one of the best series out there for people like me who loves to read this type of books on the supernatural and I would be remiss if I didn't recommend this book and series to one and all, because I am recommending that everyone who likes to read about the supernatural, should go out and purchase this book and series right now!! When you get this book you will find yourself curled up in your favourite chair reading about these amazing people and wishing that you were there and a mate to one of these awesome Alpha Males who will rock your world and defend your with their lives and love you and only you for the rest of their lives and the journey of your life with an Extraordinary Alpha Male will become more than just living, but it would be a lifetime of what we as women are all looking for in our search for the perfect complement to you!!! I truly wish that what this book tells the story of was a real world for us females to find in this world!!! Great creative writing about these mythological creatures that I myself have always wished were real and not just words on paper!!! These books truly transport you to a whole new world where there is order to live by!!! The leaders of our world and race should be reading these amazing books so that they could have a better idea of how to run a country where not one person, young or old goes without food and shelter as well as companionship with others and all of the world would be happy and content. Instead of this world where there's greed and people who snub their nose at you if you're not in their category of status!!! Great book, and happy reading to everyone who gets this series for your own personal enjoyment and library.

Really good read!

This author"s style of writing allows her to weave her story while developing her characters. If her name is on the book, most likely I have her that book. I hope you continue the series. Sometimes it's nice to see an "epilogue-type" and possible supporting characters path taken (i.e. Jase, the two girls, et al). Thank you!
